A seasoned professional with 25 years experience in retained executive search, her broad background with global clients spans virtually all functions in a variety of industries. Her practice focuses on recruiting C level executives for entrepreneurial as well as world leading companies, both public and private. Jo's history of executive search affiliations includes major global firms. While a Partner with Heidrick & Struggles International, Jo was the leading CFO specialist for Northern California and an active member of the International Technology Practice. She worked closely with nationwide partners in various industry practices as a key contributor in the CFO Specialty Practice. Following her tenure at Heidrick & Struggles, she founded the Mahaney Group, a retained executive search boutique in the San Francisco Bay Area, to help clients build management teams for emerging growth companies. Earlier in her career, Jo was employed by SpencerStuart and Ward Howell International in San Francisco, and a Menlo Park, CA based regional firm, David Powell Inc., which focused on serving entrepreneurial high technology clients.
